Spooky's latest adventure??

Winter is coming and we have been rugged up with cloudy days, lots of rain and fond memories of the roaring fire. Just when I was getting excited about hauling my winter coat out and sticking a match into the fireplace, the weather did a backflip and out popped the sun!! This of course means gorgeous Spooky cat won't grace us mere mortals with her fabulous presence, like Marco Polo she is off discovering new worlds BUT she always returns from her adventures with 'treasures'.............
This week whilst peacefully enjoying the last breath of the hot sun before it retreats into it's winter hideout, I heard the tell tale sound of a roaming adventurers return that signals "I have found treasure, it is with me and I shall bring it inside so that you may know what a great explorer I am"...........
She deposited her new found treasure in the loo of all places, then quietly walked away??? Imagine my surprise upon discovering said explorer had left us a brown snake ALIVE in the toilet. Needless to say I will not be walking down the hallway in the dark any more!!

Yes we have our blogs, we waffle on endlessly to our 'audience' about all manner of things (sometimes even pretty useless things I admit) but all the while having a good old time, creating, contributing, participating, sharing, caring and blah blah blah!! My son enjoys checking out the demotivational posters on the net, some of them are pretty funny, so when he pointed out a couple of demotivators about blogging and said "Hey mum, this is you" I thought I would share them. I can laugh at myself with the best of them!! Enjoy . . . .

Oooh Lucky me.........

Seems my back lawn is alive afterall!! We have been on water restrictions for a number of years now due to the drought, the last couple of years what used to be the lawn was just a patch of dirt which flew everywhere with the hot North winds. Darling husband was ready to cover the expanse with gravel??? This was NOT going to be a happening thing in my world, so I stood my ground very firmly with the retort that Mother Nature will bring it back to life again the same as she always does, just be patient!! With the flooding rains we have had this season not only has the lawn come back but a nice mushroom crop has sprung up, check them out, they are all over the place!! Looks like Mushroom Risotto is on the menu tonight............woohoo, thankyou Mother nature, so glad I nixed the rock idea and waited for you to weave your magic.

The things cats do???

We all know how adorable and cute our cats can be (when they aren't snobbing us or looking down their noses at us in that extremely superior fashion that they have), and we all know they have a penchant for strange sleeping places and heaven forbid, certainly never the same place twice in one week!! Well I just have to share Spooky's latest nap spot, I thought I had seen just about everything until I witnessed this.....I have a rather useless decor item which generally goes around the bottom of a vase of flowers, a twisty thing that is supposed to look like twigs (yes we all buy random bits of crap at times). It was just laying around whilst I was trying to figure what to do with it but Miss Spooky beat me to it as you will see below!!

hhhmmm what's this? If I step inside it will I suddenly be transported to a parallel universe, I do believe I'll check it out

Nothing so far?? Maybe I have to go even further into this time looping contraption.

Releasing.....

Apparently we have a very huge full moon this weekend, Astrologer Anne Ortelee calls it a 'Supermoon', it will be very near to our earth and the effects it has on all of us (including the earth we live on) will increase. Wow, am feeling the effects myself already. There is so much going on both 'within' and 'without' at the moment that many of us may feel as though we are drowning!! I know I do, I'm drowning in old emotions and feelings as they surface for the last time begging to be released. This is what this supermoon is all about, one last chance to let go of all our old and damaging habits, those things, ideas, toxic relationships or whatever it is that makes us turn in on ourselves and keeps us from being who we truly can be. This is a final 'breaking away' and with it comes an inordinate amount of pain I am discovering.

There have been more tears in these last few months than there have been in all of the last few years put together!! There certainly is something very big going on, sometimes it feels like someone has stuffed a vacuum cleaner nozzle in my head and I'm watching as every last piece of those things I have tried so hard to hide are sucked from the depths and exposed. They are boxed for a reason, usually because they equate to pain, but here they all are popping up in front of my eyes almost every day taunting and saying "Look at me, look at me, DEAL with me!!"  Well I'm 'dealing' and everyday it feels like another little piece of my old self is dieing. So just be gentle with yourselves as these waves of change ebb and flow, these are testing times. The plus side to all this releasing is..........we will be renewed, a whole new life is out there waiting. OMG am I ready for this?

Email Wisdom........the cracked pot

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.  After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. 'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.' The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding..  You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

SO, to all of my cracked pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

Where has the week gone?? A new age...

Look at that, a week has almost passed and I have been consumed with nothingness! There are changes afoot for all of us, the current planet alignments are asking us to make a choice that will affect the rest of our lives. With this has come a feeling of being in limbo, for me anyway, like the sky in its twilight moments, night merges into day and it is difficult to pick out the landscape before me. We are being asked to 'own' who we truly are, live our lives through our soul selves so that we may truly embrace the new energies that are raining down from the heavens.

A 25,000 year life cycle is about to end and with it will dawn a new age. An age that will move us outside of ourselves and into the Universal construct. Mother Earth is asking us to step up and take responsibility for ourselves and our actions as we make this dimensional shift with her, for with this shift will come great responsibility and many eyes from within the Universe will be watching as we try to orchestrate this leap.

We are in effect 'birthing' and with every birth there is pain involved. As you look around you will see pain emanating from almost every corner of the globe as the old and the new energies battle for supremacy. Remember to breathe deeply, allow your soul self to step into you, be who you truly are and with compassion in your heart, help where you can. Once we have moved through this painful but exquisite birth we will hold  new life in our hands and the eyes of the Universe will be upon us.......
