House of a thousand cat beds!!

Okay, today we are going to have some totally useless twaddle. Some days the brain just can't organize itself to operate on a higher level and today is one of those days (well, has been this way for quite a few days just quietly, but don't tell).

We all love our pets, they are a constant source of amusement, give nothing but unconditional love and enrich our lives like nothing else can. The other day I came across a statement on the net that said cats sleep between 16-18 hours a day!! I had never really thought about their sleeping habits in that context before and was quite gobsmacked to think such a huge portion of the day (well lets face it, practically the whole day) was allotted to sleeping. Hhmmm think I've been gipped, I'd like to be a cat.

With this new info shlooping around inside my brain I found myself taking note of just how long my rascally pair did sleep and discovered it was in fact, a true statement. But that was not the only thing that was revealed to me. They are bed hoppers!! Truly, how many beds can you sleep in, in one day? I will show you.

Spooky cat sleeping on my desk behind my computer.

Close-up view of her royal cuteness behind the computer!!

Now we might try on TOP of the desk where no mere mortal can reach us.

Yes, I AM the Queen of this castle.

Vacate my chair for five minutes and come back to find madam has taken over and redecorated with her muddy paw prints. I guess that is a ha ha you won't sit here now sort of a statement.

Yes I DO fit into this box thankyou very much, I do not need to go on a weight loss program.

Okay, maybe I do need a bigger box!!

Not to be out done in the box bed stakes, here is Miss Kitty with her paw to the floor, ready to make that quick getaway should the need arise.

Husband will freak out in Antarctica when he sees this one!! One of Miss Kitty's fave spots is the table. As you can see we don't really sit there to eat (yes husband I have developed some bad habits while you have been away, I now sit on the lounge to eat my dinner, oops, I know how much you hate that), it is more of a receptacle to hold all the website stuff that needs to be listed LOL!! Miss Kitty also likes to sleep on tiny bits of fabric as you can see here, actually any fabric will do, including any clothes I might leave laying around. Miss Kitty is also one of those 'sleep with my eyes open, I'm watching you' people, which is a bit freaky really.

Definitely into lush this one, the fabric connoisseur!!

Note to self...

Yes this one is for me. Every now and then we need a little reminder that those things we procrastinate over, pull our hair out over and think OMG how will I ever do this?? Are actually achievable!! It is not that hard, get into the driver's seat and DRIVE (metaphorically speaking that is).......

I think I might be one of those 'post it note' people from now on, write myself messages and leave them all over the place so I can't escape from myself. Nag myself into submission, oops I mean, achievement. So, today I will also remind myself.......

buy this gorgeous print at the link below

Too true, so just slide into those leopard print rubber wellies and march on through!!!

Moldavite: Starborn Stone of Transformation

One of my all time favourite stones would have to be Moldavite. This exotic green tektite that fell from space is truly captivating and it's presence can at times invoke remarkable spirit experiences.

Moldavite's formation coincides with the crash of a large meteorite in what is now the Bohemian plateau of the Czech Republic, approximately 14.8 million years ago. Most specimens are found strewn throughout that area. Farmers often turned up pieces of Moldavite when ploughing field, and Moldavite miners sift and dig through loose sands and gravels.

It is believed to be created when a meteor impacts with enough velocity that it vaporises its self and surrounding materials. These vapors are ejected back up into the atmosphere where they solidify and rain back down as solids.

Moldavite is called the Grail stone because it can show you the path to spiritual enlightenment. It is a stone of transformation as it tends to bring positive life changes in an accelerated manner. It is also said to be the stone of those who feel that their spiritual origins lie in the Pleiades, Orion and Sirius star systems.

Moldavite is a type of tektite but there are other forms as well. Tektites are usually black or olive green. The word tektite comes from the Greek work tektos, meaning molten. There are four known strewn fields, the European strewnfiled, which has yeilded the Moldavites; age 15 million years. The Australasian strewnfield, mostly black. North American strewnfield, Texas yields black whilst Georgia yields green; age 34 million years. The Ivory Coast strewnfield (Ghana) yields black; age 1 million years.

A Meteorite is a natural object originating in outer space which survives impact with the earth's surface. When it enters the atmosphere, impact pressure causes the body to heat up and emit light, thus forming a fireball, also known as a meteor or shooting - falling star.

Quote of the day - mystery

“Really, the fundamental, ultimate mystery -- the only thing you need to know to understand the deepest metaphysical secrets -- is this: that for every outside there is an inside and for every inside there is an outside, and although they are different, they go together.”

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary my darling, even though you are so far away, I love you more and more each day!!

"We're all a little weird.  And life is a little weird.  And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness - and call it love - true love."
